Porcelain tile installation for floors, walls and suitable exterior areas, including larger and rectified formats.
Explore porcelain tilingA tiled floor is only as good as what sits underneath it. We check the flatness, the movement, the layout and the transitions before we lay anything.

A tiled floor takes daily traffic, furniture, cleaning and the changes between one room and the next. The finish is the part everyone sees, but the condition of the floor beneath it usually decides how well the installation performs, and that is where KS Elite Tiling spends most of the time on a floor job.
We lay new floors, repair existing ones and do the preparation underneath both. That runs from bathroom and kitchen floors through to a porch or a paved front path, so the surface we start from might be floorboards, concrete or an outdoor sub-base, and each one is prepared differently.
We assess the floor for loose sections, cracks, high spots, low spots and any sign of movement, and we tell you what we find before we quote the preparation. We also plan the layout around the doorways, thresholds, room shape and the sight lines you actually look down. Skipping that leaves narrow cuts and awkward transitions in the places hardest to ignore.
The tile format changes how much tolerance there is. Large or rectified porcelain shows lipping more readily on an uneven background, so we flatten more before laying it. Natural stone needs handling specific to the material. Outdoor areas bring drainage, exposure and grip into the conversation as well.
We lay porcelain for durable indoor floors, in finishes that can read as stone, concrete or timber, and natural stone where you want the variation that comes with it. We talk the choice through against the room, the use it gets and how much maintenance you want, rather than choosing on appearance alone.
Outdoor tiling covers porches and front paths. Tile floor repair deals with isolated damage. Floor preparation is the work on the background before a new finish goes down. We price those separately rather than bundling them into one vague line, so you can see what you are paying for.
The homes we work in have concrete bases, suspended timber floors, extensions and layouts that have been altered more than once. We cannot tell which one you have from the age or the style of the property, so we look at the floor itself rather than working from a generic recipe.
Send the floor area, the tile size, what is on the floor now and photographs of the thresholds when you ask for a quote. Thresholds are the detail most often left out of an enquiry and the one most likely to change the job.
Review the area, existing floor, thresholds and access.
Agree the direction, focal lines, joints and transitions.
Complete the preparation included in the agreed scope.
Lay, cut, grout and clean the tiled surface for handover.
A reliable quote needs the room, tile and preparation scope. These are the main factors to share.

Yes, all three, along with hallways and outdoor paths. Tell us the room and what is on the floor now and we will talk the preparation and the tile choice through for that specific space.
We would need to look at the floor first. We can take out some variation through preparation, but movement or a poor base needs a different remedy before tiling makes sense.
Potentially, if a matching tile is available and the cause is localised. Repeated cracking or several loose tiles usually points to a wider background or movement problem, and we would want to find that before replacing a single tile.
Send a few photos, rough measurements and the tile you are looking at. Quotes are free, and most jobs can be priced from that without anyone coming out.
